pull down to refresh

If you missed last week's hiking post anniversary special, here it is again. #790272 I'm shilling it again because I really think it's a special one, the views are very pretty, and I would like to share those beautiful views to more people.
This week, we get back to our waterfall mini-series and explore the Gold Creek Lower Falls located in Golden Ears Provincial Park, BC. During our visit, we parked at the Gold Creek Parking, took the East Canyon Trail going north and looped back using the Lower Falls Trail. This loop is approximately 6km long with about 160m elevation gain. The trail starts off flat and wide from the parking lot into the forest. Continuing along in the forest, the trail eventually reaches a fork, where taking the left fork brings you to the Lower Falls Trail. At this point, the trail begins to descend rapidly. After descending for a while, the trail reaches Gold Creek and follows along Gold Creek. Going back south next to Gold Creek, we eventually reach the Lower Falls, which is a low elevation waterfall but with a large amounts of rapid water moving. We saw numerous different fungi along the trail, and also caught glimpses of the surrounding mountains behind the cloud and fog.
