Cocktail of the day: Aviation
Let's go for more classics, shall we? The Aviation is a classic gin cocktail dating back to the turn of the 20th century, and it first appeared in Huge Enslinn’s book “Recipes for Mixed Drinks” in 1916 while he was tending bar at New York City’s Hotel Wallick.
Ingredients:
2 oz gin
1/2 oz maraschino liqueur
1/4 oz creme de violette
3/4 oz lemon juice
3-4 drops saline solution
Instructions:
Shake with one large and two smaller ice cubes and strain into a chilled Nick & Nora class with a fine mash strainer. Garnish with a lemon twist.
