We are counting down MLB's best ballparks throughout the 2025 season.
Here is last week's edition #1231254.
This week we have #2.
Wrigley Field- Chicago Cubs
Opened: 1914
Capacity: 41,649
Red brick and ivy. People watching the game from apartment rooftops across the street. You can't get any more old-timey baseball than Wrigley field. In my opinion the best of the remaining classic parks. It's undergone some renovations over the years to add extra grandstands in CF and a new scoreboard to LF but still retain its classic charm. The Ivy outfield wall is the most unique feature in any MLB park. Unfortunately this pic is from opening day so it hasn't come in yet. Here is a better look.
Wrigley doesn't have the modern amenities and creature comforts as many of the newer parks but it has history and nostalgia on its side and that's why it is the number 2 park on my list.
There is only 1 park left. I will unveil it Monday before the playoffs begin.
Sats for all,
