This week we head to Cliff Gilker Park to check out the four small waterfalls located in the park. Cliff Gilker Park is located on Sunshine Coast near Roberts Creek. According to their website:
This woodland park features seven kilometres of forest trails, unique wooden bridges spanning foaming creeks, a multitude of waterfalls, and a 30 metre wheelchair accessible trail with a viewing platform.
When we visited the park, we did not explore all the trails and decided to stick to the trails where we can see waterfalls. We went south via the red trail to the southernmost wooden bridge, then crossed the bridge and took the yellow trail back north towards the parking lot. During our walk through the forest, we saw 4 small waterfalls and crossed 2 bridges. It was an enjoyable short and easy walk with the family.
Map of the park shown at the parking lot.
First waterfall.
We crossed this bridge to reach the red trail.
Some fungi growth.
More fungi growth. Lots of moss too.
Second waterfall.
Third waterfall far in the background.
Small creek flowing through the park.
Fourth waterfall. I think it's more of just some water flowing down a slope, but they still called it a waterfall. O well.
Crossing the southernmost bridge to get to the yellow trail and head back to the parking lot.
