pull down to refresh

I was supposed to post this the day before the playoffs started but forgot, so figured the day before the World Series starts would be a fitting substitute.
We are counting down the best ballparks in MLB throughout the 2025 season.
Here is the last edition #1240637.
Finally down to #1.
PNC Park- Pittsburgh Pirates Year opened: 2001 Capacity: 38,747
It's time for the World Series. Sadly, MLB's best ballpark likely won't be seeing World Series games any time soon, but despite its home team's futility, it is still an absolute gem. I have seen 2 games at this park and it is amazing. Intimate park with views of the Allegheny River, the three sister bridges (Roberto Clemente Bridge, Andy Warhol Bridge, Rachel Carson Bridge) and the city skyline. They did an amazing job with CF and RF leaving so much open space for the beautiful view. Outside the stadium you have a number of bars and restaurants and the incredible riverwalk. They maintained a classic ballpark feel with modern amenities. Walking over the Clemente bridge to get to the game adds to the atmosphere and experience. I highly recommend visiting PNC Park, even though the Pirates suck.
That concludes our MLB ballpark rankings for the 2025 season. Thanks for following along from 28 all the way to 1.
Sats for all, GR

Come to think of it, I really didn't expect PNC to be number one. It's just not the one I think about, but the description of the bridges and the skyline, and the picture backs it up. Had family friends growing up who lived in Pittsburgh in the late 90s/early 00s, and I have some small memory of maybe going to a game there but nothing definitive and I would have been young. May need to find a reason to visit again.

If it was prior to 2001 it would have been three rivers stadium. Definitely not as nice.

I didn't expect this to be number one. I've never heard anyone talk about it before.

I think most rankings have PNC #1.

I am going to be catching a game there with a bunch of my college buddies. It should be a fun trip. After Pittsburgh we will be heading to Cleveland.

That will be awesome. Pittsburgh is nice. Check out the Heinz history center. They have some really cool stuff there and the sport exhibit is really good.

TBH, I generally like natural backdrops for the sports parks, but this is really beautiful for only one thing that it still holds classical vibes.
Edit: There's also a river for the nature lovers!
