I was on a short vacation over the weekend and just got back home today, so I wasn't able to post last week's hiking post on Sunday like usual. But I'm posting it now, better late than never I guess. This week I wanted to write about the Smoke Bluffs Loop. This is a loop trail that is about 2.9km long with approximately 200m elevation gain. If you're into rock climbing and if you climb in North America, you probably have heard of Smoke Bluffs. According to Mountain Project, Smoke Bluffs park contains over 640 different climbs. The park is located in Squamish, BC and is easily accessible by car. We went there only for the hike, but we saw many climbers doing top rope, lead climb, and bouldering all over the park. We followed the trail from the parking lot and went up a few steep sections to reach a couple viewpoints and also a helicopter landing pad with some sort of signal tower next to it. We eventually descended via some steep terrain and sections with human built wooden stairs to get back down to ground level, where the trail brought us back to the parking lot.
We started to see people rock climbing at the parking lot.
Trailhead. The trail was well marked and well maintained.
We started to let the little one walk on his own, but I would still carry him once he got tired. I believe he was almost 3 years old at the time.
Sign naming the different walls. Trail started to climb.
More walls and cracks for climbers to climb.
My son continuing on trail up a set of makeshift rebar ladder. Climbers climbing a wall in the background.
One of the viewpoints.
Trail continued back into the forest.
Lots of mushrooms grew on this tree.
Wooden helicopter pad and signal tower next to it. I'm guessing they made the heli pad for ease of access when servicing the signal tower.
Nearby mountain peak.
Some granite crack climbing in action.
Another viewpoint. Wife and the older kids enjoying the view.
Heading back down. They built some wooden stairs for this section because it was too steep.
Back at ground level. It was autumn when we visited, so there were plenty autumn leaves.
Continuing back to the parking lot.
A final look at the numerous climbers before heading back to the parking lot.

Beautiful
Thanks!
Beautiful, as always!
Woah!
Beautiful! Is it Autumn there?
It reminded me of a poem by Browning-
Thanks. No, it's Spring over here. We went on this hike during the Autumn of 2020, so the photos were from a few years back.
Nice poem.
