This week we head to Dorman Point Trail to see the views of Howe Sound. Dorman Point Trail is located on Bowen Island, a small island just off the coast of mainland BC. Previously, we wrote about Crippen Regional Park and Killarney Lake #1018841, which is also located on Bowen Island. Like Crippen Regional Park, the trailhead of Dorman Point Trail is also located near the ferry terminal. We started our walk by the marina and continued to follow the trail past the beach towards the forest located in the south. We continued on trail into the forest and gradually climbed uphill towards the viewpoint within the forest. The trail was well marked and easy to follow. The trail is relatively easy with about 2.5km in length out-and-back and approximately 100m elevation gain. We were greeted with the views of Howe Sound looking south / southeast when we reached the viewpoint. Because it was overcast and raining, we were not able to see very far as there were cloud and fog. But the view was still beautiful even if the weather wasn't great.
